Sarah Simmer, CPA, CFP®, CAP®

Managing Director of Client Experience

Sarah is one of Heritage’s senior leaders and a key architect of the firm’s client experience model. In her role as Partner and Managing Director of the Pittsburgh office, she drives Heritage’s firmwide client experience strategy and ensures a consistent, high-touch service model across all markets.

She is also a sought-after thought leader in the family office space, frequently consulted on multi-generational wealth, governance, and the evolving expectations of modern families. Her approach emphasizes long-term partnership, clear communication, and a deep understanding of family dynamics.

Before joining Heritage, Sarah was an Assurance Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, specializing in technical financial accounting and leading large-scale audit engagements for Fortune 500 companies.

She earned her B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting, magna cum laude, from West Virginia University.  She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA),  CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®), and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®).

She serves as Advisory Board Chair for the Carnegie Museum of Natural History and as a Trustee of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, and is an active member of the Estate Planning Council of Pittsburgh and the Financial Planning Association.

Originally from Richmond, VA, she now lives in Pittsburgh, PA, with her husband, Blaine, their daughters, and their dog.
