Inside the Markets: Third Quarter 2023

Chief Investment Officer, Jay Jordan, along with Cary Baronian, Director of Research, and Steve Henderson, Director of Private Investments & Foundation Strategies, discuss their current views on the market, the economy, and how they are positioning client portfolios.

Despite concerns about higher rates and inflation, the market has been rallying in recent months. Jay emphasizes the importance of maintaining a disciplined approach and not making short-term investment decisions based on market sentiment.

While the market seems to be performing well, Jay points out that much of the growth is driven by a few mega-cap technology stocks with exposure to artificial intelligence, masking weaknesses in the overall economy and markets.
